Bride Wars

In early September I recieved a call from the bridal shop where the bridesmaids are getting their dresses. It was just a friendly reminder that there were still a couple of girls that needed to come in get measurements taken and to leave their deposits so that all the dresses could be ordered.

During my phone conversation with the owner, she was telling me about a bridal pamper party that they have for bridal parties of six or more that they host every month. On Saturday afternoons they close down the shop and have food, games, and WINE and encouraged me to come in for the opportunity to win some prizes.

Prizes and Wine? Yes, please.

The day of the pamper party I was just excited that, for the second time, I was going to be able to have all the ladies together. Not really knowing what was in store for this whole thing, we walked in and grabbed some seats and the last couple of girls got their measurements taken. We socialized for a bit before the real fun started.

I believe there were about six or seven bridal parties in the entire shop, and they told us from the beginning we were going to be playing a total of four games and they would let us know what the prizes were after each one. I really wasn’t expecting too much, so I wasn’t really in too much of a competitive spirit. I was just really feeling the spirits they were serving us. *Boop*

The first game was a simple bridal word scramble. We ended up getting all 14 of the words done the quickest and Team Walrus had won the first game.

The prize: $50.00 to use towards purchase of my jewelery!!!

The second game was a guessing game called dirty minds. I wont go too much into the details of that game, but needless to say we didn’t win that one. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.

The next game was a simple dance off. I knew I had this one in the bag. But honestly my whole bridal party is an EXTREMELY lively bunch, so they all got up and, needless to say, we won that one, too.

The prize: $150.00 to spend towards a veil!

I was super excited that I had such a fun afternoon with the ladies, and was able to win such important accessories I need for the wedding day. It was also a fun excuse to keep the party going and host the girls at my house for dinner and red cup fun that night.

Did anyone else get lucky with getting their accessories?
