Historic Oklahoma mansion wedding: Kirbie + Justin
Guys, we just know you’re gonna instantly fall for this Oklahoma wedding GATHER Events sent our way. Historic mansion venue? Check. The springiest blooms imaginable? Check. Huge wedding party all decked out in BHLDN navy suits? Mhm. Even a little Midwestern rain shower couldn’t quell all this cheer. Ely Fair Photography captured all the details below:
The design, via GATHER Events: Kirbie’s vision was to work with the Dresser Mansion’s beautiful color palette and details and bring in a fresh pop of springtime color. Navy, grey, and natural wood tones were contrasted with lively lavender, peach, and thistle blue accents. We styled the historic building with fun tassels and striped straws at the bar, pendants on the dessert table and a silver fringe backdrop at the photo booth to keep the space feeling fresh and current.
Katie of Birdie Blooms whipped up a bouquet that included all the bride’s faves: King protea, clematis, scented geranium, kale and Juliet roses.
Kirbie says, Our planners from GATHER Events had been my amazing bosses, role models, and creative gurus for the past two years and I would not have been able to put my thoughts into something so wonderful without them! From the budget to invitations to decor and flying to Oklahoma to coordinate, these girls are the best! My dear friend and bridesmaid Lauren was my calligraphy artist and hand-lettered all of the wooden signage and styled my hair for the wedding. Our officiant Caleb was Justin’s mentor and friend of many years and our ceremony would not have been as special and unique without him. Having friends put so much work into making our wedding what it was is one of my favorite memories of that day.
Parting words about Ely Fair Photography… From the beginning, they were nothing but kind and wonderful people and we were so excited to see what they came up with for our wedding. Every step of the way Elyse was willing to help out in any way that she could and on our wedding day she made us feel comfortable and took beautiful photos. They were one of the best decisions in this process. We had such a blast in their photo booth!
