Peggerflies. They're like butterflies, but more wooden and less scary.
(Yes, I'm scared of butterflies. Don't judge.)
They're so simple to make they barely warrant instructions, but just in case . . .
Cut two identical butterfly shapes (wings only - no body) from patterned paper or thin card.
Fold in half to make a crease along the centre.
Press a scrap of washi tape down onto a small wooden peg.
Trim away excess tape with a craft knife.
Clip peg over the two butterfly shapes to join them together and create the body.
And that's it - done. You can stick the finished butterflies to all sorts of things - cards, scrapbook layouts, simple pieces of wall art, or gift tags like the one above. I used mini-pegs, but you could obviously size the idea up and make it work with normal clothes pegs, too.
Giant peggerflies. Nothing scary about that.
Nothing at all.
