Paper flower DIY

So, you might have already seen this if you're a fan of the Cloth, Paper, Scissors website, but just in case you missed it, they've been kind enough to share an excerpt from my new book, Paperie.

The project is this paper flower display (part of a bigger plan, in which I campaign for all trees to have stripy twigs, by law), but if that's a little large in scale for your tastes or space, you could easily use the flowers for something else instead. I added them to a fun pajaki (a paper chandelier) . . .

. . . but they'd also work arranged on faux-stems in a vase, strung together to make a party garland, or used singly to decorate a card or gift-wrapped present. They're really simple to make, and you can adjust the size to your heart's content.

You can find all the details over at Cloth, Paper, Scissors, and if you're in a creative mood, check back here later in the week, when I've got another Paperie project to share, plus a free download, so you can give it a try straight away.

x

PS. There's also a really lovely review of the book on Susan Niner Jane's blog, The Papercraft Post.
