Real Party: Hawaiian Bridal Shower

My friend Lindsay’s brother is getting married this fall. Lindsay and her mom hosted a bridal shower for Maggie this past weekend. Because the wedding is in Hawaii the shower was Hawaiian-themed. What a simple, sweet party they threw! I know you’ll love the DIY touches.

The shower was held at a restaurant, so Lindsay and Suzanne brought in flowers and some other table decorations.

Individual vases of flowers (repurposed baby food jars!) with a name card were at each seat.

The cards had a green fringe…a la Hawaiian grass skirts.

So did the menus at each place.

The bride-to-be’s chair was designated with a “Mrs.” banner.

Dessert were Lindsay’s vanilla cupcakes, topped with a fondant flower.

Someone sure liked them!

Party favors were white chocolate macadamia nut cookies baked by Suzanne.
