Creepy or sentimental

I published this post last year. For some reason I want to put it out there again and see what you guys think.
I was shopping on Saturday and in the line to check out I heard two young women chatting. One was saying that she had to go to visitation because her great uncle died. She went on and on how creepy dead people were and how weird her aunt was acting. "After all he was 73."

The other girl, determined to out creep her friend, said her grandfather died two years ago and that her grandma still set a place for him at the dinner table. According to her "that's way creepy."
I guess some people might think I'm a little creepy. Lane's ashes are still in the office (after 7 years) and every morning I talk to them. Some days I even give the container a little hug and kiss. That does sound kind of creepy, don't you think?

I know a widow who wears her husband's clothes, another who puts his aftershave on her pillows and another widow who keeps his medications in her purse. I guess all of these actions are kind of creepy. But we are all grasping at something from the past to hold us together.
Am I creepy or just sentimental? I don't know and I don't care. I like seeing and talking to those ashes. For a brief moment I feel like Lane is listening to me. And I really miss that.
What do you do that's creepy?
