Reese's Spreads drizzled over cereal squares and pretzels, dusted with powdered sugar, and tossed with roasted peanuts and kettle corn - the perfect snack, great for gift-giving! #AnySnackPerfect #CollectiveBias

Lately, I've been obsessed with the salty/sweet combination in desserts. It's SO addicting! Who would have thought that two seemingly opposite flavors would compliment each other so well? I didn't think there was any way to improve on this classic combination, but oh I assure you - there was. Salty peanut butter, pretzels, and peanuts along with sweet chocolate, kettle corn, and powdered sugar. This is the ULTIMATE salty & sweet snack mix for your family to enjoy!
I used to HATE making snack mixes like that because of a really, really silly reason. Are you ready? I don't own a bowl big enough to mix it well.
I told you - really silly reason.

I just get SO annoyed when I'm in the kitchen trying to make something and I don't have all the right tools for the job - most of the time, I just wind up not making the recipe altogether. But I had picked up a jar of new Reese's Spreads at Walmart (found near the peanut butter) and it was just asking to be made into a snack mix! This brand new spread is NOW available and of course I couldn't wait to taste it for myself! If you love Reese's classic Peanut Butter Cup (who doesn't), this spread has the same one of a kind chocolate and peanut butter combination. Even better, I thought of the BEST solution to make a large amount of snack mix:

Behold. The colander.
Yep, that's right - I mixed it all in my giant stainless colander set into my (clean) sink. It was PERFECT because it allowed the excess crumbs to drop out of the mix underneath in the sink and it gave me plenty of room to gently mix the snack pieces together. Plus there's no need to use wasteful zip-top bags either. Yay!

My sister, brother in law, and nephew were the lucky recipients of a bag of this amazing snack mix. This makes such an awesome gift for Thanksgiving or Christmas! Use a clear bag, load it up, tie it with a festive ribbon, slap on a label (or not), and it's ready to give. Who wouldn't want a gift like this??

Reese's Spreads Snack Mix
1/2 cup butter 1 cup Reese's Spreads 3 cups cereal squares 3 cups miniature pretzels 2 cups confectioner's sugar 3 cups popped kettle corn 2 cups salted honey roasted peanuts
Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Stir in Reese's Spreads and continue to stir until melted and smooth. In a large mixing bowl, combine cereal squares and pretzels. Pour Reese's Spreads mixture over and stir gently to combine. Stir in powdered sugar and toss lightly to coat. Transfer mix to a large colander set in a sink or a large bowl. Gently mix in kettle corn and peanuts, using your hands is the best way. Store in an airtight container or sealed bags for gift-giving.
