Kiriko + MoCC Trunk Show

Here's a fun trunk show to add to your hectic holiday shopping calendar: Join Portland-based accessories and apparel brand, Kiriko on December 13th at The Gallery Store at the Museum of Contemporary Craft for this special event. Kiriko uses vintage and antique fabrics to create unique pieces with a history and a story. In the tradition of "mottainai" or "waste nothing,” every piece of material from their production is saved and repurposed into other items in their collection. The trunk show will feature pieces from every line in their collection for this exclusive showing.

About Kiriko:
Textiles tell a story. Long ago, patterns had meanings. Cloth was hand-woven and dyes were seasonal. Each scrap of fabric brought back a time and place. We cycled through seasons, not trends. We made memories, not mass-produced goods. Then we began to lose touch with tradition. We stopped treasuring our clothes.

At Kiriko, we believe fabric is everything. We searched Japan for centuries-old denim, hand-dyed shibori, and vibrant kasuri. Our scarves and ties showcase traditional craftsmanship and care. Wear them, love them. Hand them down. Add another chapter to their story: Yours.
