Whole30 Round 2 – Day 5

Good Morning! It’s Thursday already..the weekend is almost here! I actually felt like yesterday should’ve been Thursday but I’m trying to be positive. Day 5 was another successful day. I’m glad I skipped the headache this time around. During our first round of Whole30, we both had a headache until Day 5 or 6.

Breakfast:

Eggs scrambled with mushrooms onion and spinach, warm apples with cinnamon, avocado and bacon.

Lunch:

Leftover Paleo Pad Thai

Dinner:

A “hot plate” made with ground beef, snap peas, onions, mushrooms, spaghetti squash and Sunshine Sauce. This wasn’t a very photogenic meal but it tasted great. I can’t believe I waited so long to make this sauce – I love it! All of the recipes that we’ve tried from Well Fed have been great. If you don’t have the book yet, I highly recommend it.

C25K – Week 3 Day 2

My new shoes came yesterday! I was so excited to try them out when I got home from work. I have wide feet, so buying shoes is always a big ordeal for me. I was thrilled when I saw these on sale and available in my size!

There was a break in the rain, so we were able to run outside.

We’ve been walking 1 mile to the path we’ve been running on, so we technically do right around 4 miles with a lot more walking than running at this point.

Dane’s new shoes arrived as well and we both thought they made a huge difference.

These pictures never seem to capture just how sweaty we are.

Our chances of running outside the next couple of days are pretty slim as Tropical Storm Andrea makes her way to Florida. We’re not even a full week into hurricane season and there’s already a named storm. Hope that doesn’t speak for the kind of year this is going to be.

Our state is underneath there somewhere.
