washi tape turkey thanksgiving countdown — free printable

My little guy still has a hard time grasping the concept of time beyond today or tomorrow. The idea of a week or a month is still a long stretch of time for him to comprehend so countdowns come in handy. No longer am I constantly asked "Is it today?" or "How much longer?" He looks forward to marking it off day by day and its a fun reminder that there is a special occasion coming up.

I did not plan on making a countdown for Thanksgiving but when my little guy requested one yesterday I couldn't turn him down. Better late than never. :) Rather than doing a simple paper chain (my quick and easy default ... but quite frankly I'm getting quite sick of those) I decided to fancy it up a bit ... but without putting a lot of effort into it since the month is well underway.

The idea of using washi tape for feathers originally came from this idea I came across on Pinterest a few days back. I love any excuse to pull out my washi tape. :)

So start printing and get out your stash of cute washi tape. If you don't have any washi tape you can color them in too. :)
