decorating my front porch: last minute holiday DIY
I wanted to spiffy up my front porch for the holidays ... but on two conditions—I wanted it to be done in a hurry and on a small budget.
The cream and tan fabric was left over from another project. I picked up the gold material from Hobby Lobby ... with a 40% off coupon of course. Score!
I used Alison's DIY tassel tutorial as a guide and then strung my garland across the door. The star came from the Dollar Tree, which I then attached to a wreath that was already hanging on my door. The pillow is made from the same tan fabric that was used in the garland. I added some super cute hand stamped polka dots using gold fabric paint.
