Dem Senate Candidate Draws Awkward Blank During TV Interview

Democrats’ new candidate for a U.S. Senate seat in Montana does not appear to be ready for primetime.

During a Tuesday morning interview on local news channel KZBK, Amanda Curtis drew a blank, resulting in a long, awkward pause from which the host rescued her.

CURTIS: It’s my honor to travel around the state now for the next nine weeks and continue talking and listening to Montanans about the issues that are important to them. And…
(PAUSE)
HOST: Where are you from? You’re from Butte.

Curtis, who entered the race less than two weeks ago after disgraced Sen. John Walsh was revealed to have plagiarized a major college paper, is a major supporter of labor groups that advocate the abolition of capitalism.
