Me and the hubs both know that date nights are going to become far and few to come by as soon as Baby K comes. While it will be 100% worth it, we are trying to live it up now until he comes. While we are on a tight budget, date nights don’t really fit in too well… Anyone else out there like this!? They are important to us so we have figured out a way to make them happen. I have never been a coupon person before. Yes I know you can save millions of dollars using them, I just have never really jumped on the train. If I do end up cutting the coupons out, I end up leaving them at home when I go grocery shopping, or forgetting to use them when I am checking out. I feel as if my brain has a thousand other things to worry about than remembering my coupon. Anyone else? I mean can’t someone somewhere come up with some paperless coupons?? The kind that are clip-less, and easy to use??

When Zach and I sat down and were figuring out how to fit at least a date night treat into our budget, we saw that Walgreens now has an app where you can clip coupons right off your phone! Craziness right!? What’s even better about it is that the employee checking you out asks for your Balance Rewards Card, when you scan your card or put in your phone number, the coupons are magically taken off of your purchase! SAY WHAT!? No cutting coupons out, digging through your purse for them, or remembering them when you check out!? Just easy use paperless coupons! Sounds like my kind of thing!

I love that the coupons are for things that I am already purchasing. I was in the need of some new makeup and the Walgreens app had coupons for just about everything I was looking for. From Maybelline to Loreal! Lipgloss and Foundation to Hair Spray and Shampoo! This was pure happiness for me. Zach kept laughing at me while I was grinning from ear to ear for all the money that I was saving on purchasing makeup!

What Zach was even more excited about was the fact that we saved enough money in one shopping trip to go out for a date night treat! It has been awhile since we were able to have enough in the budget for a treat and so it was a super exciting night for the both of us. The best part of all of it, is the fact that saving that much money was so simple and easy. There was no hassle to it. No coupon cutting, just paperless coupons! I literally went through the coupons on my phone while shopping! So easy!!
