With the holiday season quickly approaching, I’ve made a promise to myself to shop smart. Just in time for this positive change, I came across a new book by author Sarah Lazarovic. A Bunch of Pretty Things I Did Not Buy is a witty and funny book about conscious consuming.

After realizing that she was buying too much stuff online, illustrator Sara Lazarovic decided to go on a buying hiatus. Instead of shopping, she decided to illustrate all of the items she coveted so much.

Through her gorgeous illustrations Sarah was able to appreciate the beauty of each item while learning about the importance of only purchasing items that one truly needs.
