Colorful Living Room & Office
Had you told me this living room/office combination was done on a budget I would have told you to shut your dirty mouth! Because this space right here is what designer dreams are made of – and I could have sworn it ran this lucky homeowner a pretty penny. It’s light, and bright, and infused with just the right amount of colour. Designed by Kirsten Krason and Erin Morgan, there’s more over here!
From Kirsten Krason… Our client is a young mom with two kids so she needed spaces that would be vibrant and youthful but also classic and kid friendly. We set out to design a space where she could live comfortably with soft rugs and fluffy pillows and also that would be safe for her kids to play. She loves color but we also infused neutral textures and lots of white so the color didn’t overpower the design. The office was small so we needed to utilize the space well. We picked small scale furniture and added saturated teal roman shades to draw the eye up and liven the space. We carried the teal into the Living Room with two arm chairs. Our budget was reasonable but not extravagant so we exercised high/low design by splurging on fabric and a few accessories but keeping everything else affordable. Most of the furniture is from World Market, Target, JC Penny and Overstock!
