Geometric Baby Shower

I’m what you’d call a foodie. There isn’t anything I won’t try at least once, and I fully judge a party based on it’s menu. I know. But I’ve been to enough events with crustless triangle sandwiches to tell you that quality food is an absolute must. And I’m pretty sure these guys got the memo because this geometric inspired baby shower? It’s making me drool left right and center. With photos from Sweet Root Village, there’s more right here!

From Sweet Root VillageThe inspiration for this baby shower came from a few things. Little Jude Baer is due shortly and he is a second child. So there wasn’t too much needed for him, but how can you not plan a celebration for a new life preparing to enter the world? Jude’s mama Rachel, co-owner of Sweet Root Village, has some awesome studio mates who took the reins to throw her a last minute intimate shower inspired by some geometric goodness and a whole lot of “Hey Jude.”

Rachel gave just a few tid bits to guide her hostesses, including her love of stripes and shapes and neutral color schemes plus a super love of cheese. Waleska Town of Upcircle Studio and Lauren Anderson of Sweet Root Village worked up all sorts of amazing details and elements and then had Rachel’s mother and mother-in-law join in on the fun executing some of the delicious food goodies! Waleska took on some super fun DIY projects, including a tea towel with a Rudyard Kipling quote as a take home for each guest and a sweet set of stationary with carefully embroidered envelopes for each guest to write a note to the little babe! She added some fantastic cake toppers to a sleek and delicious cake and then on top of all of that she planned an epic menu with all sorts of one bite and finger food items for guests to munch and mingle! Lauren took on the flowers and plant life melding a few feminine touches for Rachel with soft flowers and a whole lot of cool toned succulents and air plants to compliment the quirky containers and boyish celebration. Rachel and Lauren worked together to capture as many of the elements as they could before retiring to enjoy a super sweet time with Rachel’s closest friends and family on their couches listening to good music and eating yummy food.

We can’t wait for Jude to arrive and settle in to all his new striped outfits and sweet kicks. He is loved so much already by his mama, daddy, and big sister Amelia.
