A Whimsical Girly Nursery

Not only does this little baby girl have the cutest name on the planet, but little Zelda also has a nursery with quite the view. Designed by mama and style expert, Corri McFadden, this lavender colored gem is a little pocket of whimsy and beauty with a cozy corner for the family dogs too. When designing Zelda’s nursery, I wanted to create a whimsical and intimate space that would be cohesive with the style of the rest of house. I opted for a palette of purples, white, gray, and gold to keep the space bright and cheerful. I really love the detail of a striped ceiling! I opted for this design rather than a mobile so Zelda would have something fun to look at. I built the space around this palette and them added pops of color around the room.

One of my favorite parts about this room is the lucite shelving from Land of Nod. This created space allows me to display all of Zelda’s precious mementos from her tea set to her first pair of ballet slippers.

There is also a designated space for my beloved Yorkies, Emma and Harley. An oversized floor pillow that matches the nursery perfectly is placed at the foot of my rocker so all my babies can be close.
