Hotel Beatriz Playa & Spa in Tias, Puerto del Carmen prides itself on good service and personalised attention. This recently updated and quirkily styled spa features a hydrotherapy circuit equipped with water jets, waterfalls, micro bubble beds, jacuzzi, sauna, steam baths and contrast showers.

Facials, wraps including micro-algae, seaweed and poultice sea silt, along with a variety of body massages are available too. There are one, two and three day programmes on offer, packed full of natural therapies for the mind, body and spirit. You can grab a 45-minute marine mud back treatment for 40€ on a special deal at the moment.

Aquarsis Wellness Center in Puerto del Carmen offers a creative selection of individual treatments including cryotheray (cold therapy) for tired legs and chocotherapy – 45 minutes of chocolate-based exfoliation and moisturising. Yum!

You can also opt for a two, three or five day programme which includes a hydrothermal circuit plus a range of massages, wraps and treatments. Prices start from 13€ for a one-off hydrothermal circuit, 38€ for a hot stone massage, and 310€ for the Gold Land five-day programme.

The Hesperia is a large luxury hotel near to pretty Puerto Calero marina on the southern coast of Lanzarote. Its Spa and Sport Club is a popular destination for holidaymakers, and it is renowned for its knowledgable and friendly staff offering great service.

Experienced spa consultants will help you to relax and rejuvenate in the gym, hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, foot bath, sea salt foot soak, contrast showers and planetarium – intriguing!

Choose from a variety of facial and body treatments, massages and acupuncture. You’ll need to contact the hotel for prices and availability.

Hotel Costa Calero Thalasso Spa is part of another large all-inclusive hotel in Puerto Calero. Holidaymakers seeking relaxation and refreshment rave about the welcoming staff, attentive service and very popular thalassotherapy spa.

The vast array of individual therapies and programmes include a reflexology foot treatment for 40.80€, Vichy massage with water at 44.95€ and the well-being package for 78.55€ which offers an active pool and roman bath session, relaxing massage and deep foot treatment.

The shaping-up programme costs 110€ and includes an active pool and roman bath session, thermal mud body wrap, relaxing massage and a facial.

The Princesa Yaiza is a big luxurious beachfront hotel on Playa Blanca in the south west of the island.

Friendly, efficient service and the fabulous spa make it a top destination if you’re in the mood for some extreme pampering. The Thousand and One Nights circuit features a seawater pool heated to a heavenly 34C, underwater music, colour therapy, phlebology circuit (for the good of your veins!), hydro-massage jets and swan-neck taps for maximum relaxation.

There are 50 cabins for wet and dry treatments, a lengthy massage menu including hot stones and thai, relaxation rooms, a Tea house, saunas and Turkish bath. Choose from a multitude of therapies using natural ingredients like seaweed and silt, and temptingly named ‘rituals’ inspired by exotic cultures of the world. Programmes include the Wellness and Zen two, four and six-day sessions, as well as special couples packages.
