MFB Crush: Gina from Pink Lace Wings by Tiffany

Everyone meet Gina!! She blogs over at Pink Lace Wings and is one of our newest fashion bloggers!! I love her smile, those glasses, and her love for city life!! I will admit my favorite posts of hers are her baking posts. Check her out!!

Tell a little bit about yourself.
I grew up in Upstate New York but went to college at BYU Provo. I did serve a mission (in Korea) and got married just before graduating college. My hubby and I are both Asian halfies, which I love! He is in the Air Force so we will be moving around a lot for the next many years (which I also love!). Right now we are in Texas. I have loved art since I was young. I used to want to be an Archie comic artist (ha!) and now my creative outlets are baking pastries, learning photography, a little bit of sewing, and of course creating outfits.

How did you come to choose your blog name?
I'm actually a bit impatient and didn't want to spend too much time thinking of a good name. This isn’t my favorite, but it does reflect an important part of my life: being an Air Force spouse. My family has always been closely tied to the military and I am very proud of that. My husband is about to receive his “wings” as a pilot soon and I like to think I helped a bit along the way. :)

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
My ideal life in 5 years: a couple of kids, throwing down gourmet baked goods like it’s my job, living in Cali, taking sweet photographs, running marathons in 3 hours flat, traveling the world on the weekends, and blogging about it all. We’ll see how that turns out…

What is your spouse's style like?
My hubby is half Japanese and I think that his style is a direct reflection of that. It’s not quite Japanese, not quite American, but somewhere in-between. The best thing about him is that he is an amazing shopping buddy! He loves to pick out things for me and tell me his opinion. ;)

What was your biggest wardrobe splurge? Was it worth it?
I generally consider myself pretty frugal. But I do believe in investment pieces! Such as bags and sunglasses that are good quality and I can use forever. When I graduated college my gift was this leather bag that is over a year old now and I plan to keep using it until it falls apart!

What is your favorite hobby?
Baking! Before I ever had a style blog I had a baking blog (and still do!). I like to take pretty pictures of the things I make and trick people into thinking I am a good baker. :) My two greatest achievements in the kitchen so far: kimchi and a recipe from a famous pastry chef, Hidemi Sugino. (Because the latter took me 2 or 3 days to make…!)

What can't you live without?
My hubby, my phone, my cats, baking, and city life

Favorite fashion inspirations and places to shop?
I have a million fashion bloggers who I love to follow, and I’m always finding more. One who I have shamelessly followed from the beginning is Song of Style’s Aimee Song. She has my dream closet. And some of my favorite shops are Piperlime, Zara, J.Crew, Banana Republic, and Steve Madden.

Thanks Gina! Dont forget to follow her at Pink Lace Wings!!
