I have many pleasures of writing for several publications and I just love to share my obsession of fashion with anyone who’ll listen. IndieBlush Magazine is one of those publications who is not only local, but their message they convey to the Sacramento and surrounding area is one of enrichment to the community. An enrichment to where they bring everything that is “indie” or independent. Celebrating the independent store owner, photographer, wine maker etc. Which brings me to my exciting moment, as a contributing writer of the fashion section, IndieBlush is allowing me to use my love of fashion and styling talents to be the coordinator of the this amazing show in which is called, Elements.

Elements will be a fashion experience like no other. As you find out more about this magazine and the indie movement you’ll notice the involvement of local clothing boutiques and designers as the main focus. In addition to the fashion, there will be a preview of the Dysphoria Project. A Project that aimed to spread the awareness of Body Dysphoria. Everyday we as consumers are marketed and advertised into the fashion industry and at times made to feel less about ourselves and our bodies so that we will buy a product.Body Dysmorphic Disorder are 49% male and 51% female. Being a female myself, there are times when I too feel less about my body and that if I purchase a particular product, it will make me feel better about myself. But it is a temporary euphoria. The Elements fashion show will help the community see more about this disorder. I am so happy an proud to be a part of this production and it will only lead to more productions for the creative magazine in the future.
