The Weekend Dish: 11/29/2014

Happy (long) weekend to you!

How was your Thanksgiving holiday? We had an awesome day here with both of our families and enjoyed lots of laughs and great food. Between prepping on Wednesday and the holiday, this 8-month pregnant lady was totally tuckered out yesterday. As a result, I spent Black Friday firmly planted on the couch and enjoyed every single minute of it. Did you do any bargain shopping? I hope you enjoy these last couple days of November before the Christmas season officially starts!

As always, you’ll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week as well as some bookmarked recipes from other blogs. Enjoy!

On Brown Eyed Baker This Week

Cranberry-Eggnog Cheesecake – A fabulous mix of Thanksgiving and Christmas flavors, perfect for any winter special occasion!

Italian Walnut Pillow Cookies – My grandma made these each and every Thanksgiving, so they are still a must on my dessert table!

Happy Thanksgiving! – I hope you all had a fabulous holiday with family and friends!

What I Bookmarked This Week

Recipes and posts from other blogs that I thought looked especially delicious and that I thought you would like, too:

Brownie Pie (Cooking Classy)
I’ve been intrigued by Tar Heel Pie for ages, and this version is making me want to jump into the kitchen and make it immediately.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Gooey Butter Cake (blog site)
My mind is blown. This looks like the most amazing chocolate/peanut butter dessert ever.

Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Bars (Creme de la Crumb)
I’m a sucker for cheesecake anything, and a cinnamon roll-flavored cheesecake bar means these are acceptable for breakfast, right?

Flourless Hot Cocoa Cookies (Fork Knife Swoon)
What a fantastic cookie for chilly winter nights spent by the fireplace!

Snickers Silk Pie (Bakers Royale)
I love a good silk pie and can’t imagine a better version than this chocolate, caramel and peanut butter one!

Have a delicious weekend!
