Hair Care.

So, I recently went to get my hair re-touched because I was in much need to freshen up the brown in my hair. Many of you always ask me where I get my hair done and what the technique is called. Well, I go to Salon Benjamin and my colorist is Deanna and cut artist is the man himself, Benjamin. I don’t say the technique to my colorist anymore because she knows what I want, but for all of you that ask, tell them you want the ombre look in the balayage technique.

Make sure you give them specific details of how you DON’T want it. That’s important! But Make sure you tell them you don’t want the ombre look that is dip dyed (just the ends) or that there’s no depth in your hair and looks very one dimensional- it doesn’t look natural! You also have to be specific about what you DO want; I always tell them I want it to look super natural, sun kissed, beachy golden waves, and I have them add strands of golden brown around my face to help frame it. Please bring lots of photos of the actual color/style you want! These people are visual artists so they need to see it so its easier to understand .

I’ve had this color for a while now, and yeah, I need a change (just waiting to grow out my long bangs to meet the rest of my hair for the new change!) but it’s honestly, the most convenient color/style for me. It’s so low maintenance that I don’t have to worry about going in to get retouches often, which is great if you want to save money! The color complements my skin tone as well; which I love.

Deanna always does a phenomenal job with the color; always looks so fresh, young and natural! And Benjamin is a genius at cutting! Never been able to find anyone that I love how they cut my hair, but Ben, I love his work.

We thought it would be fun to shoot some photos while I got my hair done, especially so I can tell you where I get it and what its called! Enjoy! Leave a comment with any specific questions..

Thank you Sarah for the amazing photos!

Chit chatting with the people behind my hair: Benjamin and Deanna.

Cutting away a few inches; looking forward to chopping a big chunk off sooner than later!

Matchy-matchy with my skinnys and cell phone case! I love me some camo.

Loose waves are always my go-to; so easy and gives you an effortless look.

The salon has the coolest decor; so much inspiration!

All freshen up!
