Review: Glamglow Thirsty Mud

With the onset of winter, I find many changes to my skin, most notably a drying out of the texture of my skin. So much so that I find I need to step up my skincare regime to include some extra powered moisture. So when asked to choose a product from cult beauty site Blow Ltd, I had no doubts in opting for the Glamglow Thirsty Mud Hydrating Treatment *.
This is quite a luxurious product, the packing suggests it and the price most definitely does. So for a retail price of £49.99 I am going to expect some good results. I have now been using the product for a couple of weeks, enough time to make my mind up on how I find it and how well it works on my skin. I currently have normal skin, after the combination / oily skin of my youth and teenage years. Thankfully my skin is pretty consistent these days, apart from the odd break-out at that time of the month. But as I mentioned earlier, I do feel a tightening of my skin in the winter months when it is cold outside and an overall 'quenched' feel which needs some extra help on the moisture front.
There are a couple of ways to use this product - as a morning moisturiser left on the skin for around ten minutes and then tissued off with the residue massaged in; or as a night-time face mask, applied to the face and neck and left on overnight. For me, I have been using the latter option every few days. And I am pleased to say that I can feel the product's tacky consistency on my face for several hours after application as well as waking up the next morning still feeling very moisturised. I have also tried using this moisturiser after a clay face mask treatment which I find a wonderful follow-up to replace moisture into the skin after it has been stripped by the clay. This moisturiser has a thick texture to it, hence it's 'mud' name and a very 'nutty' fragrance which I find pleasant to inhale and which lingers for the entire duration of the treatment.
Blow Ltd offer many amazing products apart from the Glamglow Thirsty Mud with fast delivery and cute packaging, so as my first Blow Ltd experience, I have been fully impressed with both themselves and the product I chose. Hopefully this review has been of some help if you have considered the Thirsty Mud for yourselves and also Blow Ltd currently have some good Christmas offers running which you can view right here.
