While some of you have already been enjoying some heavenly fall weather, in SoCal we’ve been stuck in the 90s. And I wish I was referring to leggings and New Kids on the Block. Meanwhile, all the pre-fall clothes I’ve been dying to wear have been stuck in the closet. Most notably, this gorg army jacket.
But don’t think the heat has stopped me from diving into fall fashion. As I do every September, I’ve been ignoring the weather altogether and dressing for the season (or lack thereof). I’ve also had more than a handful of pumpkin spice lattes over the past couple of weeks. So there’s that.
I actually spent quite a bit of time searching for “the” perfect army jacket. I wanted something tomboyish (cause obviously that’s the point), but also wanted a tiny bit of femininity to it. This was definitely accomplished by the super cute leather detailing on the front and sleeve and by this hidden drawstring, which gives you just a little more waist when you want it.
And, lucky for you, it just went on sale. Lucky for me, I snagged it a few weeks ago at full price when they still had my size (always the Anthro sale game – do I risk it? I chose not to this time around). I have to say I think it’s worth it. I can’t wait to bring this into a weekly rotation with boots and jeans.
Did you buy an army jacket in the spring/summer that you’ll be transitioning into fall?
What’s your favorite way to style it?
xo,
Mo
