Skincare On Trial

Isn’t it weird when you finish up 3-4 products all around the same time? Now that I’m typing it the whole thing doesn’t seem so strange, but I recently finished up a bunch of skincare products so I went through my skincare stash and chose some new things to put on trial. I’ve been using a couple of things for a week or so, but some things are brand new to me! Here are some of the new things that have made it to my bathroom counter.

Philosophy Time in a Bottle for Eyes
I’ve been really lazy with eye-cream lately. In fact, I don’t think I’ve used it in around 2 months…eek! Just being honest here haha. I really liked the looks of the Philosophy eye cream because it’s in this sleek little tube and it feels like more of a serum than a thick cream.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
I’ve been using this for a little over a week and it is such a gentle face cleanser, but still makes my skin feel really clean. It has a gentle whipped texture (I love anything that’s whipped..mmm whipped cream…I digress) but when you rub it into the skin it feels very smooth and almost thickens? It’s hard to explain. Great for sensitive skin!

Mario Badescu Facial Spray
I picked this up when I was in LA in June, but I didn’t want to start using it until I finished up my Boscia Balancing Facial Tonic (which I frickin’ loved!). I’ve heard really great things about this particular facial spray and I just really enjoy the facial spray step! It feels really nice right after I get out of the shower and I feel like it helps lock in more moisture once I add my serum.

Elemis Marine Cream
I haven’t tried this yet (tonight is the night!) but I tested a bit on the back of my hand and the texture seems really nice! So why is this called Marine Cream? Well, it uses the marine extract called Padina Pavonica which helps to improve hydration, reduce wrinkle depth and improve firmness. As you suspected, I’m mostly interested in this for the hydration aspect and I think it will be a great night cream. I believe this is in limited edition packaging (to go with the marine theme).

Rodial X-Treme Pore Shrink Cleansing Pads
I’ve been really into these cleansing pads lately (along with the First Aid Beauty ones) because they make my skin feel really clean, prepped and ready to go to sleeeeep! I usually sweep this over my entire face after cleansing and before I use my facial tonic. These particular ones are very refreshing, hydrating and I do think the amino acids/salicylic acid in these pads reduce the look of pores and help stop blemishes. Great stuff and I love the green packaging!

What skincare products have you recently introduced to your routine? Have you tried any of the things I’m putting to the test?
