Youngblood

Apologies for the huge and quite frankly, inexcusable neglect of my blog! I’m suffering from a serious bout of PHB, that’s the Post Holiday Blues and falling back into my work-life balance whilst battling jet lag was difficult last week. However, I am now back and ready to blog blog blog!

First post back is a beauty review that I think is going to get you talking. I have never been a huge fan of mineral make-up. The cakey, grey finishe always put me off. But recently I was given an opportunity to try out a mineral foundation. Youngblood is a great American brand, little known in the UK and was created by a woman who suffered with knows the worries of problem skin.

The slightest amount goes a very long way! I did find that with this powder I had to use it in small sections and build up the coverage. If I used too much on one area, my skin had slightly silvery sheen to it. Youngblood is great as it doesn’t contain glitter, so when used sparingly, the finish is really natural. This covered my blemishes really nicely and gave my skin a lovely velevetty finish.

I am very impressed with the coverage of this product- it hides blemishes very quickly and blends to the tone of my skin so well. I am using Toffee which has a slightly warmer tone. There is one other colour available. For those of you in the UK, a great boutique in Ipswich is a stockist of Youngblood and they do makeovers too! You can contact Deja Vu Boutique Ipswich on Facebook: Deja Vu Boutique Ipswich or on Twitter @DejaVuIpswich

Have a great day all!
