There are several ways to make sure our pets are healthy. We make sure to give the pugs quality food and get them to exercise. Rosie is older, so she’s less active than Bowie. Plus she is generally smaller, so I make sure to also give her a little less food. (Much to her chagrin!) Other pet parents are curbing obesity in their pets by focusing on proper nutrition, such as feeding their pets Hill’s® Science Diet® Perfect Weight. It is also important to ensure pet health and happiness through regular vet visits, fun exercise and proper grooming. (You can also click here to check out whether your pet is at a healthy weight.)
Here are 3 more easy ways to keep your pet healthy (From D. Ashley Gallager, a vet at the Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C.):
To help pet parents with their pets’ health, Hill’s is introducing a new program – “Healthier Pets. Happier Lives.” So perfect, right? My pets make me happy and their health is important to us. It’s the circle of wonderful pet mom life. This program has resources for pet parents to #GetHealthyHappy. You can go to ScienceDiet.com/GetHealthyHappy to enter to win a $100 gift card towards your pet’s next vet checkup. Hill’s Science Diet will be giving one gift card away everyday for 90 days!
What ways do you help to make sure your pet is living a happy and healthy life? And share how your pet makes YOU happier. I think we all know that the pugs brighten up my life. They aren’t always perfect (like how Rosie tripped me yesterday as I was making my breakfast and I fell on my butt, sigh) but they make me smile and laugh everyday. I love that I am making their lives better since they have made my life so much better!
