For these looks, I used Motives® Red Carpet Palette:

Motives® For La La Mineral Blush – Vanity:

Motives® Eye Base – Single Pot, Motives® Lip Lock, and Motives® Lip Pumice:

Before I move on to the looks, let me just say that these products are amazing! I’ve had a chance to use them quite a bit before this post and I’m loving them! My favorites of the products given to me would have to be the blush and the lip products. The blush is ridiculously pigmented. I have to dab it very lightly and build up the color to avoid looking crazy, haha. The lip products allow for a smoother application of your lipsticks and help them to last that much longer. If there was one thing I’d want though, particularly from the lip lock, it would be for Motives to come out with a clear version of this product to ensure that you get the truest colors of your lipsticks upon applying after using this product. I loved the eye shadow palette as well, the colors are gorgeous and pigmented and great for spring, there’s a bit of fall out when using them, but that’s nothing a napkin under your eye or a Shadow Shield won’t fix when applying. So there’s my quick review, now seriously, on to the Tutorials! The first look is for those of us who aren’t quite ready to ditch the wine colored pout that’s been all the rage this past season but want to start incorporating spring makeup trends, like dewy skin into your makeup routine. Let’s jump right in, shall we? Here’s what you’ll need: Motives® Eye Base – Single Pot Motives® Red Carpet Palette Motives® For La La Mineral Blush – Vanity Motives® Lip Lock Motives® Lip Pumice You’ll also need an eye shadow brush, a fluffy blending brush a blush brush and a brush for highlighting. Click on the links to see what brushes I use in my collection! WINTER TO SPRING TRANSITIONAL MAKEUP TUTORIAL! The Eyes: (Hover Over Pictures To See Each Step!) Step 1: With your finger, apply and blend out eye primer Step 2: Take a flat eye shading brush and apply the light champagne on the top right corner of the Motives® Red Carpet Palette to your brow bone area as your highlight color. Step 3: Take a fluffy blending brush and lightly dab it into Motives® For La La Mineral Blush in “Vanity”. This will act as our transition color and primary lid color. Apply it all over the lid up into your crease and blend it out. You’ll also want to take that color below your lash line and blend it out. Step 4: Take your flat eye shading brush again, taking the same champagne color we used as our highlight and apply to just your mobile lid and your tear duct. Apply your favorite mascara and you’re all done with the eyes!

The Face: (Hover Over Pictures To See Each Step!) Step 1: After you’ve applied your favorite foundation and filled in your brows, lightly apply Motives® For La La Mineral Blush in “Vanity” with your blush brush until you received your desired look. Step 2: Take your highlighting brush and apply that same champagne color from the Motives® Red Carpet Palette (what can I say, it makes a great highlighter!) and apply that to your cheek bones the bridge of your nose and your cupids bow as shown below! Step 3: For the lips, after using Motives® Lip Pumice and Motives® Lip Lock, I applied Mac’s Nightmoth Lip Liner followed by Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipstick in “Expresso Expression” from their new “The Buffs” Collection.

And here’s the final look!

FULL ON SPRING MAKEUP LOOK! The Eyes: (Hover Over Pictures To See Each Step!) Also note: This is wear I’d use shadow shields or a paper towel to avoid getting fall out on your face, or you can simply wait until your eyes are done to apply your foundation. Step 1: With your finger, apply and blend out eye primer Step 2: Take a flat eye shading brush and apply the light champagne on the top right corner of the Motives® Red Carpet Palette to your brow bone area as your highlight color. Step 3: Take a fluffy blending brush and lightly dab it into Motives® For La La Mineral Blush in “Vanity”. This will act as our transition color. Apply it into your crease and blend it out. Step 4: Next apply a white jumbo pencil just to your movable lid area and below your lash line and blend it out with your finger, I’m using Nyx’s Jumbo Pencil In Milk. This will help the colors pop even more. Step 5: From here, take your flat eye shading brush and apply the purple shadow on the bottom left of the palette to your inner and outer corners of your movable lid leaving the middle left untouched. Follow up by applying more of the purple shadow to your lower lash line over top of the jumbo pencil. Step 6: Next with the same eye shading brush, after cleaning it with a paper towel, apply the sparkly rose colored shadow on the bottom right of the palette to the center of your lid. Step 7: You don’t have to add this step if you like how things are looking now, but I wanted to add a bit more depth, so I took a smaller blending brush and lightly applied a deeper purple shade right into my crease area and blended it out.

From there, I applied eye liner, winging it out and I applied mascara. Keep your face the same as the first look and change your lip color to a nude lip (for the lips I used Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipstick in “Touchable Taupe” from their new “The Buffs” Collection followed by a bit of Milani’s Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in “01 Bare Secret” and you’re all set to go with a gorgeous spring makeup look!

Don’t forget to enter our giveaway and win FREE, quality makeup!! Be sure to at least do the mandatory entries to be considered a winner!! Ends Wednesday, April 26th! a Rafflecopter giveaway
