Sweet Smell of Spring

My nose loves springtime.
Our garden is bursting at the seems…. we have many bedding annuals that we’ve planted, our veggies, and those sweet smelling herbs that return to us every year.. like rosemary, lavender, cilantro and mint.
Our neighbor warned us that the mint would take over…. I’m kind of hoping it does.

I made some potpourri the other day… oranges in the fruit bowl were starting to go bad… I sliced them, baked them for a couple of hours at 250, threw in some dried rosemary, lavender, and cinnamon sticks…. smells heavenly!
I love that my family is breathing all natural, good for them smells… not a chemical. Do you like to make homemade potpourri? If so, what do you add to your mixture?
