NATURAL LEATHER

People often email to ask me just how our natural leather products will change over time so I thought I’d share an example of our hand marbled Sierra Iphone 5 Sleeve. I have been using the sleeve on the left (and stuffing my Iphone 4S into it with no issue in case you were wanting one and don’t have a 5 yet) for over half a year now. As you can see it has deepened in colour to a warm tan and the leather has softened and moulded to my phone’s particular dimensions. All of this happened gradually through exposure to light and life and, in my opinion, makes the item more beautiful over time.

As a small note – be very cautious with natural leather around water as water stains are a real possibility with porous nature of this leather. The Sierra Iphone 5 Sleeve is less susceptible to marking from water as our other completely untreated items like the Tonala or Yelapa series in nude but, as with any light toned material, staining is still a possibility.
