Getting Back Into Blogging

I know I'm not the only one who has stepped away from blogging for awhile (or months in my case) and then struggled to get back into it. Over the last few months I've noticed that many of the lovely people I follow had taken some time off to think about why they blog and how they can happily balance everything that is going on in their lives. For me, I know that I blog because I love discussing books with people and writing down my thoughts. I enjoy knowing when a new book is going to be released and I feel so thankful when I get my hands on a book that hasn't even been published yet. I am disappointed in myself for not being able to keep reading during this past year but grad school just completely took over my life. I have been extremely depressed lately and struggling to find a job hasn't helped. I am proud that I graduated but unhappy that I completely lost myself during my program. I had to give up a lot of the things that I loved, including reading, and now it's difficult to find my way back. I am grateful to have such wonderful family and friends who have been supporting me during this time. In addition to not being able to read for a long time, I also put on quite a bit of weight. I'm not happy about it and I am working hard to get back to my pre-grad school weight as soon as possible. I want to be a better blogger and I want to be someone who is reliable. Thank you to all the publishers who have been allowing me to read your books. I have read some great ones this summer and fully intend on publishing reviews right away. I also want to post more creative posts instead of just reviews and memes. I am surprised that I still have so many followers and I hope that soon you will have new posts to read. I would love to get emails, tweets and comments even if its just to say hi or that you like what I'm posting. Thank you all for sticking with me and for not giving up on the blog. I think BiblioWino could be something really great and I hope you'll help me discover its true potential. I am going to work hard at getting my life back together and start enjoying blogging/reading again.

In case you're wondering, these are the books I've managed to read this summer that I plan on having reviews for soon:

  • Golden by Jessi Kirby
  • This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales
  • Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
  • Gilt by Katherine Longshore
  • The Summer I Became A Nerd by Leah Rae Miller
  • Love Overdue by Pamela Morsi
  • Fire with Fire by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian (currently reading)
  • The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey (currently reading)
So, those of you that have gone through a period of blogging hiatus or just a short break, how did you manage and do you have any advice?
