This past week I participated in the Monster Review-a-thon hosted by
The Book Monsters. (The graphic above was created by them and I take no credit)
This was my list of goals:
Write Reviews
Golden This Song Will Save Your Life (NetGalley) Fangirl (NetGalley) Gilt The Summer I Became A Nerd Love Overdue (NetGalley) Skinny (NetGalley) Fire with Fire (Eidelweiss)
(will be posted on Monday) Pushing the Limits
Read & Review
Fearless (NetGalley)* Cake (Netgalley)* Naked Sushi (NetGalley)* Everything You Need To Know (NetGalley)* The Chaos of Stars (Eidelweiss) The Kingmaker's Daughter (Eidelweiss)
(started reading this weekend) Once Upon A Tower (Eidelweiss)
Evaluation:
I wrote two reviews total which isn't too bad seeing as how I hadn't been writing any for awhile. I did request a few books from NetGalley and Eidelweiss since I finished and reviewed
Fire with Fire. I also read
Dare You To by Katie McGarry so now I'm all caught up on that series. Finally managed to come up with a review format that fits who I am as a blogger which I'm really happy about. I also participated in one of the #MonsterRAT chats on Twitter which was really fun and I met some great people in the process. I'm happy that I managed to start
The Kingmaker's Daughter last night because it is way overdue for a review and I need to read it so I can move on to Gregory's newest release
The White Princess, which I have been highly anticipating all year. I haven't bought any books and I've been using Overdrive a lot on my iPad for library books. Pretty impressed with myself for that. Although I do have two signings coming up that I want to go to so trying to save my money for that. Had some bad job news this week so that got in the way of reviewing a little but I'm trying my hardest not to let it get me down. Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive lately. Biggest accomplishment this month was losing 8 lbs. Finally starting to feel a little more like myself again.
How did you do with your goals for the Monster Review-a-thon?
