Les Senteurs Gourmandes - Vanille Orientale EDP

I love the scent of vanilla but am quite fussy when it comes to one of my favourite smells. It must smell authentic, musky, warm and have the right amount of sweetness.

I recently discovered that Marks and Spencers is home to fragrances by Les Senteurs Gourmandes, a French brand founded in 2000 by Laurence Dumont.

The brand recently launched 14 Vanilla-based Gourmand perfumes grouped into; childhood memories, traditional vanillas, travel diaries and the orchard - all exclusive to Marks and Spencers.

I studied the descriptions of the scents intensely before settling on Vanille Orientale and I scored a winner. I adore it! Described as "a vibrant, sensual blend of spices and natural Indian vanilla, with warm notes of ylang and caramel for a bewitchingly exotic perfume."

It smells delicious, flirtatious and sits on my skin so warmly. It's light enough for every day use but lasts all day without having to respray, which is another bonus.

It's just £22.50 for a 100ml EDP, these fragrances are great value for money and will tickle the fancy of anyone who has a penchant for vanilla bases.
