REVIEW: IMAN BB Creme SPF 15

When BB creams first exploded onto the beauty scene, it soon became apparent that my skin tone just wasn't high up on the list of priorities for many brands. I soon lost interest until Sleek Makeup finally responded to demand and released a product I could use - my review on that is here.

Late last year IMAN caused ripples of excitement across the pond, with news of the imminent release of their BB creme. I knew we'd have a lengthy wait until it was due here in the UK, so I refrained from getting excited. Well, better late than never, it's here now and I've been using it for almost three months, dutifully applying this throughout the recent hot weather and have found it to be a better substitute for my usual daytime bases, which have been too heavy for warm weather.

Available in six shades, it covers imperfections up better than the tinted moisturisers I own. I have been using it in Clay Medium Deep and for reference I use MAC shade NC50 for bases. I like to apply a pressed powder over the top to mattify as I find it leaves a dewy finish, which often translates to greasy on my skin so I prefer a matte finish which I can manipulate with highlighters if necessary.
Available in the following shades:
Sand Light Sand Medium Clay Medium Clay Medium Deep Earth Medium Earth Deep
It has a light texture, yet adds warmth to my skin tone when I require more coverage in problem areas, I simply dab on a little concealer on top. My skin is far from perfect and I feel self conscious walking around in public, with no make up on at all but this is a good balance for days I don't want heavier coverage with a denser foundation.

IMAN BB Creme SPF15 - Clay Medium Deep
This product isn't particularly long-lasting, and I can't go throughout the whole day without having to touch up, particularly when it's hot. However it's great for days when you have to pop out on errands which don't require a lot of physical activity.

My biggest gripe with this product is the price. While other brands have pushed their BB offerings onto the market with affordable price tags, the Iman BB Creme retails at a high end price of £23.99. Given that it's one of the few products currently available in my shade in this BB Cream circus, I really do object to being forced to fork out five times more if I wish to indulge in this trend.

Although I like the product, I'm not willing to pay full price for it.

How much is it? £23.99
Where can I buy it? Selected outlets which can be found using the find-a-store link on the website. Unfortunately I feel the IMAN site in general needs a huge overhaul as it looks dateD and it's still not possible to purchase online. In 2013 this simply isn't good enough.
