Vintage in the Desert

Have you ever wanted something so badly and just before it becomes yours someone jumps ahead of you and snakes it? A few years back I ventured out to the Santa Monica Vintage Expo (I highly suggest checking it out, there’s one this weekend in LA! ) and within the first 30 minutes we were there I spotted a zebra print dress hanging in a booth about 10 feet away. I started to make my way over to it when two girls swooped in and grabbed it off the wall to admire it. My heart sank a little. After awkwardly pursuing the tiny booth while waiting for them to put it down, which wasn’t seeming to be the case, I gave up and walked away. A couple hours later just as we were about to leave the building I swung by one last time in hopes that my zebra find was up for the taking. Sure enough it was back up on the hanger calling my name. It’s been one of my favorite dresses since, and as I recently discovered, wears well with a bump. I couldn’t think of a better place than The Parker to wear a vintage zebra dress from the 70s.

Vintage dress (similar), Givenchy necklace, Celine sunnies (similar), Manolo Blahnik pumps, Jennifer Fisher bone cuff, Zoe Chicco ring.

More zebra print cravings…

The post Vintage in the Desert appeared first on could i have that?.
