FILM OF THIS MONTH
Only Lovers Left Alive - I had waited a year in anticipation for this film and I was not disappointed. With a massive amount of mystery surrounding the making of this film -paired with an ambiguous trailer- I was unsure of what to expect. This film explores the lives of two vampire lovers, whom are very relatable and likable. The film is wonderfully funny, and successfully makes you appreciate the spance of time they have lived. Where some films seem to skim the pool of the glitterati, this film makes the infamous feel like old friends. They are the most cool and stylish vampires I have ever seen. The film had great detail and really explored the evolution of vampires in an increasingly modern world. They are the Adam and Eve of vampires, portrayed with still life - like cinematography. An indulgent, abstract film.
