APPLE CAKE

Have you seen our Holiday Gift Guide for 2014? one of the recipes I shared is my mum's apple cake. So if you want you can bake it yourself....ENJOY!

250 g of grated apples,180 g self rising flour, 200 g sugar, 4 eggs, 3.5 tsp of cocoa, 1 tsp baking powder

Get your oven ready and set the temperature to 170°C/340°F. Divide yolks and whites and whip the yolks with all of the sugar. Sift baking powder with flour. Whip the egg whites until white and fluffy. Mix flour, egg yolks, apples and cocoa together. Fold gently the egg whites. Grease baking tray or form with butter. Sprinkle a bit of flour on the greased surface and shake it around. It will create a nice and even thin layer. Shake the leftover of flour away from the tray/form. Pour the mixture in. Bake for about 30min at 180°C.
