I Heart Heels

Whiny Wednesday: Eco Products Straight From the Hamptons

I admit it. I'm a sucker for cute packaging. Even if a product is absolutely amazing if the container is blah? I'm a little eh, I don't know about this. And vice versa. Sometimes the packaging is SO swoonworthy, but the actual product just doesn't live up to its looks. Not the case here. Mamas, introducing babyhampton. Squeal!!

I love when I find out about products from other mamas because I know I'll love it. (And I love to pass along the info to you in turn, obviously!) It's completely awesome babyhampton was started by a fellow mama in the Hamptons (hello, a fav place of mine!) looking for a chemical-free sunscreen for her kids. You know I heart eco-friendly products. And it's not because it's a "trend" (hate that), it's because I want the very best for my baby. babyhampton products made the beloved EWG list, so you know they're reliable. Huge sigh of relief.
To be honest, baby L loathes her baths about as much as I loathe a kitten heel. And as much as I sing, dance and make funny faces, she just wails in my face. Ahhhh...(once she escapes to her soft towel, she's good.) I can't tell you the babyhampton birthday suit shampoo & body wash ($15.99) we were sent makes it all better (it doesn't), but it's so gentle, still lathers (I can't stand one that doesn't) and has sooo many amazing ingredients: organic aloe, sage and acai berry and chamomile, to name a few. Such perfect ingredients filled with vitamins, calcium and omega oils. So good for baby skin!
The other product you should try this summer (and the reason this new brand started) is the beach bum sunscreen SPF 30 ($22). It uses organic ingredients like grapeseed extract and extra virgin olive oil to moisturize and protect. And it's sold in a pump bottle, something so simple, but I love.
Check the babyhampton site for all the amazing qualities of this sunscreen (gluten free, paraben free, GMO free, etc).
Time to hit the pool just a few more times? ;)
