Welcome to the newest version of The Budget Savvy Bride!
Did you notice our new look? This is the fifth site design over the last 6.5 years that the site tried on for size, and I’m happy to say it’s the prettiest, cleanest, and most user-friendly look yet! Did I mention sparkliest? Check out that gold glitter, baby!
Yes, our blog now has emojis. Because, well, I LOVE emojis, okay?
I can’t even tell you how excited I am to unveil this new site, as it has truly been a labor of love. I actually made this new design myself about a year and a half ago– talk about a long time coming! I didn’t want the site to just be pretty to look at, I wanted it to be more functional and user-friendly to navigate as well.
Our goal was to make the site easier to use – for you to be able to find exactly the content you’re looking for with minimal effort. We’ve built this puppy from the ground up, thanks to the brilliant coding mind of Taylor McRae, who has been my right hand man with web and coding stuff over the last several years. I seriously couldn’t do this without him — he really helped me think through the flow of the site and how to best optimize the styling and images to load quicker and more efficiently, no matter which device you’re visiting on.
That’s right, BSB 5.0 is mobile friendly and fully responsive! Just look at how pretty she is on Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile! Now you can enjoy our content and posts without having to wait so long for the pages to load, or scrolling past weird formatting issues. So great right?

New features!!
BSB’s new look isn’t just a fancy new party dress, there’s lots of new content and features coming along with it. We’ll be expanding our Printable galleries to include important checklists and items to help keep you organized, as well as adding new search functions to our real weddings features, such as searching by color and season!
In addition to the sparkly new getup, the site will soon feature community forums and a shop highlighting our favorite items for weddings in an easy to navigate format. (Forums and shop coming soon – stay tuned!)
Many of these items will take us another few days / weeks to implement, so please take it easy on us as we work out the kinks in this transition! I was just so eager and excited to share these new pieces of the puzzle with you!
Another thing to check out is our new Plan section – with a list and timeline of the things you need to do leading up to your big day, including links to resources on this site that will help you along the way.
Under Save Money – you’ll find our list of top wedding budget tips, which as you know, we’ve been adding to on a weekly basis. Soon we’ll be offering some exclusive deals in this section as well, so stay tuned for that.
Speaking of wedding deals, we now have a weekly wedding deal newsletter that will deliver the deals of the week straight to your inbox every Friday, so you never miss a deal! How’s that for budget savvy?

New comment system!!
Many of our favorite blogs use Disqus and we have really loved using it to leave comments on their sites. It allows you to easily log in with Twitter, Facebook or Google to leave comments, and makes it super simple to find out if someone has replied to comments that you have left on different sites.
You can even follow your favorite commenters (See my profile here) to keep up with stories they are reading and important discussions happening around the interwebs.
I personally think this makes for a great experience and allows us all to be able to engage and connect more effectively. I look forward to being able to respond to questions more simply and to alert you when a reply has been made to your comments! I think you’ll love this system as much as I do!

It’s pretty fun to look back and see how far we’ve come! Thanks for visiting the site – I truly hope our resources are valuable to you! And in order to keep meeting (and exceeding) your needs for budget savvy wedding inspiration and tips, we’d love to get your feedback about about a few things.
