Hair Talk with Megan from 'Thumbelina Lillie'

This week, we’ve been catching up with the lovely Megan from super chic blog ‘Thumbelina Lillie’. If you fancy learning a little something about one of our favourite bloggers then read on to discover Megan’s holy grails and a serious case of ombre gone wrong!

What is your everyday hair care routine and your hair care product essentials?
I totally couldn't live without my Tangle Teezer, I can't imagine using any other brush as my hair gets tangled easily. I shampoo and condition my hair with the John Frieda Hydrate & Repair products every two or three days, just when it needs it. I'll always add some of their Repairing Oil to the ends of my hair before blow drying too. I love curling my hair so I use the Babyliss Curling Wand Pro, which is cheap but really good quality!

Have you ever had a complete hair disaster? Spill the beans!
YES! I once asked for an 'ombre' effect when it was coming into fashion. Lets just say, I left the hairdressers with 4/5 of my hair peroxide blonde, I looked like I just had really bad roots!

If you could only take three of your hair holy grails to a desert island - which products would you pick?
A Tangle Teezer, a scrunchie and Batiste dry shampoo - I love that stuff!

Would you ever be tempted to have a SUPER dramatic hair makeover? Or have you ever done it and did you have serious hair regret afterwards?
Like I said with my 'ombre gone wrong' - I was practically bleached blonde! I would love to have an ombre look done properly though.

Are you an avid heated appliance user or are you happy to be a natural beauty?
My hair's naturally really straight so I'll leave it like that usually. But recently I've loved curling my hair.

What trend would you never have the guts to follow?
The highly cut fringe- so cool but just not me!

Do you ever use any DIY treatments on your locks?
I don't but if given the chance to I'd try, fingers crossed it wouldn't ruin my hair!

What are the worst hair crimes you’ve ever seen committed?
When girls don't clip in their extensions properly and you can see them - big no-no!

What trend do you think has had its day and needs to be retired?
Really tacky kids clip-in colour extensions - discontinue them now!!

Who is your ULTIMATE hair crush and whose aren’t you a big fan of?
I love Beyonce's new do that she showcased at the Grammy's - gorgeous! As for not loving, I haven't seen anything that's hurt my eyes in a while!
