Three Steps to Staying Stress-Free and Well Rested on Black Friday

Black Friday is a major undertaking. You wake up early, drive to the stores, stand in line, and you’re so busy that you barely have time to eat. All that hustle and bustle can leave you feeling frazzled and looking tired.

The good news is that this is an easy fix. Just follow a few healthy rules and you’ll look refreshed and feel stress-free from the last sale until you go home with the goods.

Here are my tips to looking beautiful on Black Friday, all day long:

Go to Bed Early
Planning to hit those door busters at 5 a.m.? Then get your beauty rest the night before. Aim for at least seven hours of sleep, which means you’ll be hitting the sheets around 9:30 p.m. on Thanksgiving night.

Before going to bed, make sure to moisturize with the Simple Skincare Nourishing 24 Day/Night Cream to protect your skin at night and into the next day.

Plan Ahead
Black Friday is all about the planning. You need a game plan for which stores you want to hit, which presents are must-buys and which can be scoped out as you go. Take a notepad with you or make a list using an app on your phone to make sure you don’t forget a crucial gift!

Carry Nutritious Snacks
With all the stress of Black Friday shopping, it’s easy to forget that your body needs nourishment. Whether you skipped breakfast to get out of the house at 4:30 a.m. or you’re facing rows of sugary or greasy food from the mall food court, you’re better off planning ahead and carrying healthy snacks. Great options are fresh fruit, nuts, granola bars and, of course, bottled water to stay hydrated.

And When It’s All Over?
Go home, pour a cup of tea, put your feet up, and smile. The wrapping can wait for tomorrow.
