The Light of Day

“Faith, in the sense in which I am here using the word, is the art of holding on to things your reason has once accepted, in spite of your changing moods.”

And moods, they are a changing in my neck of the woods. Even in the darkest of the bunch (of moods that is), I look forward to crossing that threshold to find that on the other side is the dawning of a new day.

That is where I realize that my faith is in the knowing, and the push then, comes from the trusting.

Trusting that each step through the cold, dark, foggy uncertainty, I will most certainly see glimpses of warmth and glimpses love.

And trusting as I stretch forth my hand to reach for that love, it will in fact pull me in and guide me back home.

Where I belong.
