Melbourne Photo Diary

I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Australia for two weeks with friend & fellow youtuber Tasha Green! With the help & support of Tourism Australia and The body shop to discover two different parts of the country, share what we experienced out there and to meet a lot of lovely people.
A passion of mine in life is to travel - So I jumped at the chance!

First we explored Melbourne, On our first day we met the gorgeous and super friendly blogger Jasmin Howell from Friendinfashion. she showed us around the best streets for shopping and we saw some of the city's landmarks after stopping off at a little cupcake shop where she bought us some mini cupcakes ^.^
She also gifted us with some rings from her jewellery line 'byJasmin' which was so lovely of her.

We strolled down a street famous for its art splashed across the walls everywhere - Artists come all the time and add to the street-art. it made me wonder why we don't have this is london.

Amazing food at both 'Naked in the sky' and 'Joes' in St Kilda, round the corner from where we were staying at the Cosmopolitan hotel (Which we would highly recommend). These were the best ribs I had EVER had. Melbourne food was simply amazing!

We took a visit to The Green olive at Red Hill - A farm where they grow all of their own produce and also run a restaurant and a little shop. You could smell the fresh product as soon as you walk into the restaurant and it was all so organic & flavourful. We spoke to owner Greg who showed us how everything worked and who also showed me how his coffee machine worked and made us all a short latte - My favourite!

I found Melbourne to be a bright, vibrant but also slightly grungy city. The people could be quite eclectic and I didn't find there to be a certain clothing style about the place but people dressed in styles taken from many different places.

I noticed there there is a fondness for their own Australian designers and boutiques and that cupcakes, chocolate shops and pressed juices are the talk of the town. There is a large mix of different cultures and there are trams heading up and down the streets which add such a lovely touch of character.

The weather was just like London though, as we visited during their Autumn but that was okay with us as we are quite used to it!

Thank you Melbourne for having us!
