Rustically Romantic Wedding

Ally and Austin tied the knot at the beautiful Club Renaissance. Austin loves the modern feel in a clean room and Ally loves anything shabby chic. The two styles combined beautifully to create a rustically romantic wedding.

It is no secret that some of the best decorations are the ones that are handmade with love. This cute couple and some of their nearest and dearest put a lot of love into creating their big day. We love their painted wine bottles and signs! So many cute and creative details await you in the full gallery here, captured by L. Martin Wedding Photography.

From the start of the planning, Austin and I both wanted a small intimate wedding with all of our family and friends that we love. We did every part of the planning together which made it such an unforgettable chapter in our lives. We stuck to a mix of traditional and nontraditional elements. For the ceremony we wanted it to keep it short, sweet, and to the point. So we tied the knot… Literally we tied a knot!

I wanted to stick to a shabby-chic simplistic look but still something that would give it that “wow” factor once the lights dimmed. My Mother and Sister have painted wine bottles that they have in their homes for decor, which I love! We spent many evenings drinking wine of course, because we had to save the bottles. Next, we painted the specific color palette with some Martha Stewart Paint and lined the necks of the bottles with sequin ribbon. We played off the rustic vibe and added flowers with lighted twigs for the glow at night. On every other table we added lanterns with lined jeweled votive candles. We had such a fun time doing this together. Our guests truly admired our hard work. Everyone should have fun with their DIY wedding.

We got so lucky with our venue, our DJ, and our photographer. DJ Kelly got everyone on the dance floor with our favorite songs and older classic spinoffs that even got our grandparents out shakin’ it! I can’t begin to tell you how amazing our photographer was. Austin and I are no where near models but she sure did make us look like we were. The photographer was something we really hunted long and hard for. At the end of the wedding all we have is our love for one another, the memories, and the photographs to remind us of the magical time.
