Warby Parker…Brings Personality to Eyewear

For some people Eyewear is a fashion statement…I am one of those people.

After all this site is called My Red Glasses and do you ever see me without them….NO! I even plan my wardrobe around my glasses….other red touches that make it all pop, for instance, or making sure that what I am wearing doesn’t clash with red, many things to think about. As I consider myself a pioneer on the matter of “wearing eyeglasses as another important fashion accessory” I am of the belief and have been for awhile that there has never been a better time to start your eyewear wardrobe. What better way for you to do that than to invest your $$’s into probably the hottest eyewear brand around these days….Warby Parker, an online brand that has found the way to make prescription eyewear so affordable. We are talking glasses that would have cost you $500 at another time and place starting at just $95 from Warby. Can’t think of better reasons to get started than offering a lot of fashion choices at a price that makes you think in multiples.

To quote them directly they are of the belief that it is “personality that makes a good pair of glasses great.” So the nine new shapes that they are launching for their newest Fall collection is “for those that own their style, exercise their wit and add life to the party!” To order any of these new glasses, click on this link to Warby Parker site.

Now, about Warby Parker (please read, it’s such a great entrepreneural success story while doing good in the world)

This trailblazing company, founded just four years ago by two guys, Neal Blumenthal and Dave Gilboa, had very simple yet revolutionary goals. They found an industry, Eyewear, that they felt as a rule were overcharging the consumers and they were committed to bringing down the prices. While doing that their plan was also to do good for those less fortunate than many of us around the globe, who with just a simple pair of glasses, could see, read and then be able to learn to help themselves and advance in life. This has all happened…..glasses that average $500 are available from Warby Parker for only $95 and over One Million Pair of glasses have already been distributed through their Buy a Glass, Give a Glass program. It is just as it sounds, you buy a pair a pair and they give a pair!

Warby Parker Online Ordering Plan….Try 5 Pairs for 5 Days, 100% free

If you are interested in purchasing some glasses, the process is very simple and very cool. All you do is pick 5 pair of glasses, they send them to you for free, you try them on, select the one you love and send it other 4 pair back with your prescription and for $95 you will own a pair of eyeglasses. My intern, Alyssa, did it in the office and said it was a breeze and we all can’t wait till she gets her 5 pair!

Below is one of the pair of Red Glasses that they have to offer, we are selecting 4 others in Red only, of course, and will have them send them to me to try….it’s time I got myself a new pair of red glasses to add to my eyeglass wardrobe and this deal is just too good to pass up!

It’s all in the family with us….even eyewear!

Images below taken by my niece, NY photographer, Tina Tyrell, is for Warby Parkers’ newest Ad Campaign and I’m proud of her for getting such a great gig….a first for her (underwater that is). How cool is this!!!
