Running Tip–Save Your Space Blanket

Hello! How’s it going?

This morning I woke up HUNGRY. I had a late night last night and didn’t really eat dinner (might have drank dinner, but that’s not the point). So, first thing I did was make some oatmeal.

Then, I took a walk to warm up my legs and went back home to stretch. I’m still in recovery mode from the Long Beach Marathon on Sunday and taking it easy for a few days.

I also managed to walk into a bush while looking at Instagram on my phone. A lot of times people are spread out on the path I walk, but of course there was someone passing right by to witness my graceful encounter…

I thought I was being attacked by some ninja covered in leaves so I jumped and used my karate skills to fight back. It was quite the scene.

To make matters worse Vegas was waiting for me back at home and when I told him the story he judged me…

Now he keeps heckling me when I pass by…

So I made him some toast

and now he’s happy.

(Note: I just lost half my day down the rabbit hole of cat gifs. I can’t stop. Send help!)

Also, I do this:

Running Tip #1

I always think of random running tips that I think I should save to share when I have a lot. But, I’ve decided to just post them as they pop in my head movies.

Save the space blanket you get after a race. Wipe it down if necessary. Fold it up and keep it under your seat or in the trunk of your car. Then, you can use it to sit on after a sweaty run or as a cover if you need to change.

Or as a disguise if you want to avoid people by calling even more attention to yourself.
