Models Own Midori Hair Chalk

It’s London Cocktail Week this week and I thought I should celebrate it in a sober, beauty-related way. I haven’t reviewed any hair products for a while so I thought I should do something a bit fun to celebrate the end of the week and what could be more for than a bright green afro?

Models Own Limited Edition Midori Hair Chalk (RRP £5.99) is a bright neon-green shade that has been designed to reflect the emerald-green, melon liqueur. I’m not very sure how ‘on trend’ having neon green hair is but I was due to wash my hair so thought I might as well do something fun before I spend the next 3 or 4 hours with conditioner in my hair.

The Midori Chalk is super easy to use – though I do recommend placing a towel on your shoulders as things can get a bit messy – you simply take a strand of your hair and draw the chalk against your hair in a downwards motion. I didn’t lock the colour in my hair with hairspray as I hate washing hairspray out of my hair but it is recommended that you do so if you want the colour to be lock in and you don’t leave green dust in your wake.

As the Midori Hair Chalk is bright green, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea BUT Halloween is on 3 weeks away so I’m sure you’ll find a very inventive way to use. The Models Own Midori Hair Chalk cost £5.99 and can be purchased from the Models Own website.
