Tips and Tricks Link Party 8/19

Hi! Welcome to Tips and Tricks. We hope you are well and are so happy you're here. Are you harvesting great food where you are located? I (Kathleen) have been with my husband on the East Coast for the last month, but we are going home this week. I'm pretty excited because I will be able to go to the Farmer's Market and get some great foods to can, freeze or just eat. I love fresh fruits and vegetables so what ever I can do to have them year round, I'm there. Except growing them. For some reason I am just not good at that at all. If someone brings be a plant, I'm pretty sure the poor plant takes one look at me and just keels over and dies.

Our church gets together with a few other churches this time of year and orders peaches, nectarines and pears directly from a farm in Utah and I ordered two big boxes of peaches. I'm pretty excited because I super love fresh peaches. I like to can them, freeze them or make peach applesauce with them. I also really, really love peach pie, cobbler and crisp. They will be delivered the end of August and then I will get busy with them.
