What I Accomplished in 2014

This year was full of ups and downs, but it wouldn't have been a year of learning if not for the experiences. Today I'm reflecting back on some of my 2014 accomplishments, because I think it's important that we look back and remember the positives and how far we've come in such a short amount of time. I have many more goals for 2015, but am happy I was able to cross these things off of my list this year:

Launched DoodleSnap - This app was one I created on a whim. I had an idea and just went with it. I think I threw the final product together in about 2 weeks. It turned out to be my most successful app and still hasn't had a decrease in daily downloads since day one (knock on wood). It allowed me to also create the Android version and has been an awesome addition to my online business ventures. It even reached #1 in Hong Kong for photo/video and #3 overall.

Doubled my pageviews - I spent a lot of time on this blog and concentrated on sharing content like crazy. I worked with some awesome brands this year and was able to be featured on some great sites, which in turn helped double my pageviews monthly. I feel like this was a really successful year for the Wonder Forest blog!

Started a new YouTube channel -With the redesign of this blog, I also announced that I would be doing video content. It's been a learning experience for sure but I am proud of myself for doing it. I was so uncomfortable in the beginning and worried about what others would think, but as I continued creating videos I think I stopped caring so much and actually really enjoy the process of creating/editing/publishing.

Turned my business into various passive income streams - The thing I am most proud of this year is one that was one of my goals for 2014. I successfully managed to ditch the "daily grind" (aka working every day for others to make a buck) and build a variety of income streams that continuously generate revenue without needing me to do anything. Mind you, these projects are a lot of work in the beginning, but once they are finished they continue to create income for their lifespans. Like I said, this was one of my dreams and to see it actually able to happen has been amazing. (If you want a post about the "business side" of things and passive income let me know.)

Started a mobile case line - This was another little side project I undertook and it has turned out to be so fun and a great little extension of my whole "passive income" goal. Creating the art brings me back to my roots and allows me to be creative in a way that I love.

Got help for anxiety - As a lot of you know, this was a huge step for me. It took me about 10 years to actually step foot inside a doctor's office and 5 years just to get help with this situation. It's still something I'm working on but the fact that I took those steps were huge for me.

Got my teeth fixed - Another thing that I was putting off for so long. I not only visited the dentist, but I did it 3 TIMES within a month and got my wonky choppers fixed up. It had been something I told myself I would do pretty much every day for many years. And it's done!

Wrote a book - I had wanted to write a new book this year and am happy I decided to do it. I love putting projects together like this and seeing them through until the end!

What are some things you've accomplished this year that you're proud of? I'd love to hear!

xo, Dana
