Hi guys!!! I can't believe it's February already! I start school in two weeks and then on the 14th it's my mom's birthday (and of course Valentines Day) and then my birthday is the 19th... it's an exciting and busy month!

Today I have a long overdue review for you guys. The sad part is that I actually have many overdue posts for you guys so I can't even pretend like this hasn't been happening quite a bit lately! Anyway, this post is a review of the Mehron Intense Pro Pressed Powder Pigments. I originally saw these on Mimi's blog, Makeup Withdrawal and absolutely fell in love with her swatches and review of them. I had the opportunity to review these shades myself and I'm so excited to share them with you guys!
Mehron is a new to me brand featuring out of the box makeup to for the creative. The brand offers makeup created for commercial theatrical, educational, motion picture, television, video, opera, clowning, Halloween, and face painting markets purposes but can be used for everyday wear as well!
Mimi kindly allowed me to use her picture of the single clear pans the Mehron pigments come in. I stupidly forgot to photograph the pigments before depotting. Thanks Mimi!! Be sure to check out her review of the pigments, here; her swatches are phenomenal!

Excuse the messy swatches, I'm still getting the hang of swatching on my arm!
L-R, Tornado or Purple Heat, Night Sky, Ignite, Tropical Storm, Mountain Moss, Fire Island over primer
L-R, Yellow Spark, Inferno, Solar Wind, Earth Crust, Hot Pink, Red Earth over primer
As you guys can see from the first picture, all of my shadows are in depotted pans. These shadows come in clear flip pans however, I found them to be too bulky to store easily so I ended up depotting them to store in my Z Palette. Unfortunately, this was one of the first times I tried depotting and being the impatient person I am, I ended up trying to get these babies out too soon and scratched/nicked/broke almost all of the shadows. They don't make for the prettiest pictures but they work exactly the same! :)
I feel like most of these shades had wonderful pigmentation and went on velvety smooth. However, there were a few that were a bit chalky and didn't "cling" to the skin as well as others. The chalkier shades were Tornado (or Purple Heat, not sure of which it is unfortunately!) and Night Sky. You can also see in the swatches that the application or feeling of all these shades ranged a little bit. Some were chalky like I said, some a tad bit dry, and others had a creamier or silkier feeling to them. Other than those two shadows mentioned, the other shades were pretty consistent in pigmentation although there were a few that were a bit more pigmented than the others; but only slightly.
I really enjoyed trying these shades. I'm a huge fan of mattes and when done right they can be so versatile and beautiful. I really love most of these shades and would most definitely purchase many of them myself. The price point for these singles is pretty affordable, especially when you consider how little product you need to use due to the intense pigmentation most of these shadows offers.

For this look below, I used Red Earth on the lid, the crease (the warm brown shade you see near my brow bone is a MAC shade), and the lower lash line. Fire Island was used in the waterline (no white base or anything).

For this look I used Tornado/Purple Heat and Night Sky for all the purple areas (excluding the innermost portion of my lid and the purple dots under my eye)

Overall, I think this line of shadows from Mehron are a great addition to any makeup collection. Like I already mentioned a few times, the pigmentation on most of these shades is amazing and they almost all apply velvety smooth. They are extremely versatile as you can use them for blush, eyes of course, awesome colored contouring, and cool designs when used wet. I'm sure there's so much more you can do with these shadows too. I'm really excited about this brand and can't wait to purchase other products from them!

Mehron products can be purchased from their website, here. The Intense Pro Pressed Powder Pigments retail for $9.95 per pan (around the size of Sugarpill pans). The Pigments are offered in the single pan featured in this post as well as palettes.

What do you guys think of these shades? Do you have any Mehron products? Which colors are your favorites??
